SEMI-GAS® Formalizes Its Custom-Engineering Capabilities with New ‘Applied Solutions’ Offering for Application-Specific Gas Delivery Equipment
Applied Solutions Build Upon the Proven Quality of SEMI-GAS® Core Product Offerings and are Customized to Meet Unique Industry, Process, or Regulatory Requirements
MALVERN, PA, July 30, 2015 – SEMI-GAS®, the industry-leading line of ultra high purity gas source and distribution systems with robust control technology, is allowing customers to easily tap into its custom-engineering capabilities with the introduction of a new offering called ‘Applied Solutions’. Applied Solutions includes a portfolio and process for developing custom-adapted gas delivery equipment that meet specific customer needs – whether related to industry and regulatory requirements or process and application demands. This formalization of engineering expertise was made in response to the growing trend that Applied Energy Systems, the parent company of SEMI-GAS®, has been seeing among its customers across markets, as they seek very specific system functionality to support increasingly complex processes within their own unique production environments.
“Complex times call for custom measures,” said Jim Murphy, General Manager of Applied Energy Systems. “The output our customers are delivering continues to grow in precision, which means the processes to create that output are becoming even more differentiated and complex. Our systems and equipment need to support these highly specialized, application-specific demands for optimal results – and often that requires customization beyond what our standard line would offer.”
Applied Solutions blend the company’s deep vertical expertise and engineering know-how – acquired over its 47-year history – with its proven line of standard SEMI-GAS® products to create custom-adapted solutions for specific customer demands. This is done through a collaborative process of assessing application and compliance needs, creating design packages, and producing and validating the product for optimal operation in its specific use. All aspects of applicable industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and process realities are evaluated and incorporated into the final engineered product.
While SEMI-GAS® has already been supporting customers’ specialized demands for years via its Xturion™ line of custom gas equipment, they realized now is the time to bring the engineering know-how behind that customization to the forefront as its own branded offering. “Our own differentiation truly lies in our deep equipment expertise, and now our customers have a way to easily tap into our engineering innovation,” said Murphy. “Through Applied Solutions, they can enjoy the same quality of our renowned standard products, added to and applied in a way that solves their unique challenges.”
