Position Overview:

The objective of this position is to provide on-site field support to our high and ultra-high purity gas delivery systems, in addition to installing ultra-high purity gas piping lines in a variety of environments, ranging from R&D and university laboratories to high tech cleanrooms, fabs, and manufacturing facilities. Project assignments are typically regional, and can last for a week up to a month, and require stays away from home for about 40% of the calendar year. All travel expenses, including lodging and per diem, are compensated by the company. The Field Installer reports to a Field Team Leader and is responsible for completing a variety of hands-on trade related tasks, such as welding, tool operation, lifting, carrying, drilling, hammering, mounting, installing, etc.

When not on assignment, the Field Installer reports to our Production Manager at our headquarters in Malvern, PA and works as a member of our production team, assisting with the manufacture of our gas delivery equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Project Supervisor to configure equipment and piping layout
  • Help order project supplies and materials
  • Install gas equipment, piping supports, hangers, and stainless steel gas lines
  • Assemble materials and equipment at job site
  • Follow project specifications and drawings
  • Safely use hand and power tools
  • Repair equipment and components
  • Resolve problems
  • Perform analytical testing, as well as system and line validation
  • Follow facility, industry, company, and government safety regulations
  • Orbitally weld stainless steel gas tubing

Requirements:

  • Ability to travel, including both driving and flying
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Job requires stays away from home for approximately 40% of the year
  • High School degree preferred
  • 1-2 years’ experience in construction, trade, or other hands-on assembly related background
  • Ability to use and safely operate hand and power tools
  • Proficiency in measuring and performing basic mathematics
  • Pipe and tube welding experience is a plus
