Applied Energy Systems Introduces New VERSA-GAS™ vSource™ Gas Cabinet Design with Flexible Configurations to Fit Distinct Process Demands
Newly Branded Cabinets Offer Cost-Effective Options for the Safe Delivery and Storage of Hazardous and Inert Gas Cylinders
MALVERN, PA, NOVEMBER 30, 2016 — Applied Energy Systems (AES), provider of premier high and ultra high purity gas systems, services, and solutions – including design, manufacturing, testing, field and precision welding services – has announced the introduction of its newly designed VERSA-GAS™ vSource™ Gas Cabinets, which are made for the reliable, safe delivery and storage of hazardous and non-hazardous process and purge gases. The newly branded gas source cabinets accommodate 1, 2, or 3 cylinder configurations and also offer flexibility in operation, with the choice of manual, semi automatic, or fully automatic control. The semi automatic and fully automatic systems are equipped with vRun™ ESS and HPM controllers, with various hardware and software options for application-specific needs, to ensure easy and continuous operation and system monitoring.
“Our VERSA-GAS™ line of high purity gas delivery systems is made to cost-effectively support a diverse range of applications and industries, from universities and research labs to industrial manufacturers, PV and solar developers, and pharma and biotech innovators,” said Jim Murphy, General Manager of Applied Energy Systems. “The newly designed vSource™ cabinet provides flexible configuration to meet diverse operational demands, but with revamped features that enable us to offer it at an appealing price point. vSource™ is a great choice for customers that need a simple, intuitive, and reliable way to safely manage gas handling and delivery processes, and do not require all the production-ready capabilities of our SEMI-GAS® Centurion Gas Cabinets.”
Design standards and feature highlights of AES’ vSource™ Gas Cabinets include:
- An all-welded, cold rolled 11 Ga corrosion-resistant steel enclosure with self-closing and latching, lockable doors. The powder-coated painted enclosure also features lockable, self-closing, ¼” wire reinforced safety glass windows with a Lexan® polycarbonate face shield for added operator protection.
- Orbitally welded, 316 L Stainless Steel gas manifold construction with rigid stainless steel pigtails and CGA cylinder connections to provide maximum system integrity and purity.
- A detachable roof for easy maintenance, installation, and integration with facility exhaust and gas line connections.
- Adjustable cylinder brackets to accommodate cylinder sizes up to 10” in diameter and up to 56” tall. Optional cylinder shelves are also available for fit-up of smaller gas cylinders.
- A top-mounted exhaust stack and air intake door louvers to ensure proper air flow, circulation, and gas evacuation.
- User definable alarms and system limits for flexible, application-specific control, and automatic system shutdown in the event of an alarm or undesirable process condition. LED tri-color light towers and audible buzzers are also available for supplemental and remote system monitoring.
- Multiple optional system options including but not limited to: hazardous gas detectors; gas cylinder heater blankets; panel heat tracing; high flow outputs; UV-IR fire sensors; remote system communications; dual stage system regulators; cylinder scales; and a controller Z-Purge kit to enable Class I Division II compliance in hazardous operating environments.
“While all of our vSource™ Gas Cabinets can be customized to meet unique specifications, they are all designed to a core standard that ensures the highest level of safety and reliability for gas storage and delivery,” said Murphy. “This versatility allows us to solve diverse customer needs with a quality system that works within their budgetary parameters.”
